It will not be a lie to say the Alcatel Idol 5S rocks a design that is great for the price. It looks premium with a construction that features 2.5D curved glass complete with an aluminium frame. At 7.5 mm, this is a slim device that should be a pleasure to hold.
There is no difference between this and the regular Idol 5 in terms of display. Alcatel also settles for a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels here. A variant uses Snapdragon 625 processor. As for software, the Alcatel Idol 5S ships with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.

Gionee M7 Power is a variant of the upper mid-range M7 smartphone that promises longer battery life. It comes with a bigger juicer than the regular variant while sharing most of the specs and features.
Jumia Nigeria – See Offers | Jumia Kenya – See Offers
There is not much difference between the Gionee M7 Power and M7 in terms of design. They are similar in size. This parades a metal body that comes in a variety of colours, including gold, black and blue. It is not an ultra-slim device at 8.6 mm.
You will find a huge 6-inch IPS LCD display on the front. Like the regular variant, this has an aspect ratio of 18:9, but screen resolution is different. The Gionee M7 Power has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels for roughly 268ppi pixel density.
It appears you won’t be getting the dual rear cameras of the Gionee M7 on this one. Spec sheet shows that the Gionee M7 Power packs a 13MP sensor with autofocus and LED flash on the rear. It captures Full HD (1080p) videos at 30 frames per second.
Beside the speaker opening at the top of screen is an 8MP selfie shooter. You get the same generous onboard storage of 64 GB for keeping your photos and other things. There is also dedicated slot for extending this by another 256 GB with a microSD card.
The Gionee M7 Power uses a different processor to the one on the regular model. It comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset running along at 1.4 GHz. RAM capacity is lower at 4 GB, but still good enough for superb performance. An Adreno 505 GPU takes charge of graphics crunching. Out of the box, the Gionee M7 Power runs Android 7.1 Nougat OS with Amigo 5.0 skin.
It is unarguable that a major selling point of the Gionee M7 Power is its colossal 5,000mAh Li-Po battery. This supports fast charging to reduce the amount of time it spends while in the socket.
There is a fingerprint scanner at the centre on the rear, near the top, for additional security. Gionee M7 Power supports fast 4G LTE connectivity via its dual SIM slots. You also get USB OTG.
Gionee M7 Power is not yet available in Nigeria and Kenya. Gionee M7 Power Price in Nigeria is expected to range from 150,500 Naira to 230,000 Naira, depending on your location in the country. Price in Kenya is expected at around 49,500 KSh.

Looking at the specifications, the Uhans Max 2 is a smartphone one may describe as dirt-cheap for its price. The behemoth comes with a Full HD display, an octa-core processor, ample memory and dual cameras on both front and back.
Jumia Nigeria – See Offers | Jumia Kenya – See Offers | Jumia Ghana – See Offers
Now, there are beasts and there are beasts. This ranks among the most colossal of huge smartphones on the market at 6.44 inches! You have a mobile cinema unit in this one. It doesn’t look shabby at all when you consider its price. The Uhans Max 2 shows a metallic body and weighs in at 245 grams, with battery.
Its huge IPS display boasts Full HD resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. This should serve up decent wide-angle viewing. Uhans Max 2 has 2.5D curved glass on the front.
You are also likely to love the Uhans Max 2 if you are a photography enthusiast. It’s an option for budget buyers that desire dual camera setup. But it doesn’t just give you a pair of sensors on the rear; you get another two on the front. Each setup consists of 13MP and 2MP sensors. There is report that it offers selfie flash.
We cannot say the Uhans Max 2 disappoints with what it packs under the hood. You get an octa-core MediaTek MT6750T chipset taking care of business at max speed of 1.5 GHz. Uhans Max 2 comes with an ARM Mali-T860 MP2 GPU and ample 4GB RAM. This configuration should comfortably handle most games.
You also get generous storage space onboard with a capacity of 64 GB. This is expandable by another 128 GB. The choice of Android 7.0 Nougat OS to run the show is also good for the price.
A device this big needs an equally large battery to provide juice. It’s therefore not surprising seeing the Uhans Max 2 packs a huge 4,300mAh Li-Polymer battery. That should get things running for hours – precisely, up to 15 hours of talk time or 10 hours of video playback.
The phone offers a fingerprint sensor for added security. Uhans Max 2 supports 4G LTE (Cat. 6) connectivity.
Uhans Max 2 is not officially available in Nigeria and Kenya, but will be able to buy the smartphone from Jumia in both countries. Uhans Max 2 Price in Nigeria is expected to range from 53,100 Naira to 75,000 Naira. Price of the Uhans Max 2 in Kenya is expected to start at around 15,600 KSh.

As you may tell from the name, the Google Pixel 2 XL is the bigger brother of the new Pixel 2 smartphone. The device packs in a sharper display and a bigger battery, while also promising robust performance.
Jumia Nigeria – See Offers | Jumia Kenya – See Offers | Jumia Ghana – See Offers
This behemoth shows off an almost ‘bezel-less’ design as rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone X. The design of the Google Pixel 2 XL is not excessively flashy. This makes it a great choice for professionals. It features both glass and aluminium.
The Google Pixel 2 XL smartphone is a full inch bigger than the Pixel 2 at 6 inches in diagonal size. Its display uses P-OLED technology from LG and promises better image quality. The waterproof device boasts a very high resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. That translates into about 538 ppi pixel density for very sharp images.
You get the same highly rated 12.2MP primary camera of the smaller Pixel 2 on the Google Pixel 2 XL. It is just a single sensor, but it proved enough for DxOMark to rate these phones as the best for shot taking and video recording.
You get practically all camera features you can expect on a high-end phone, including phase and laser autofocus and OIS. This beast looks to serve up superb selfies as well with its 8MP front camera.
You can look forward to same solid performance that the Pixel 2 promises on this one as well. The Google Pixel 2 XL also features an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor zipping away at 2.35 GHz. Throw in 4GB RAM and an Adreno 540 graphics solution and you have a phone that will run practically all games with relative ease.
You get either 64GB or 128GB internal storage that is not expandable. Out of the box, the Google Pixel 2 XL packs latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS. Buyers can expect to enjoy upgrades until 2020!
To go with its size, the Google Pixel 2 XL carries a bigger 3,520mAh battery, compared to its predecessor, unlike its smaller brother. Google Pixel 2 XL also features a reversible USB Type-C port that you can use for charging and audio. The 7.9mm device offers you practically all connectivity options you can expect at this price range, including NFC and speedy dual-band Wi-Fi.
The price of the Google Pixel 2 XL starts at $849 for the 64GB model and $949 for the 128GB model in the United States. The Google Pixel 2 XL is not officially available in Nigeria, but you could be able to buy it at Jumia Nigeria later in the year.
