76-year-old John Lewis goes crowdsurfing on 'The Late Show'

Congressman John Lewis: civil rights leader, graphic novel writer and ... gnarly crowd surfer.

On Wednesday night, Lewis stopped by The Late Show to chat with Stephen Colbert about his fight for civil rights and his new graphic novel series, March. But thanks to Christian Slater, a star of the summer TV hit Mr. Robot, he ended the night with a legendary crowdsurfing experience.

After discussing the House of Representatives sit-in he led back in June, his inspiration — Martin Luther King, Jr. — and his positive thoughts on Colin Kaepernick's protest to sit during the National Anthem, the 76-year-old followed Colbert, Slater and You're The Worst's Chris Geere in the Late Show crowd surfing session.
