Coolpad Note 5 is the company’s latest offering in India replacing their existing Note 3 (Review) phablet. Incidentally, the Coolpad Note 5 wasn’t unveiled by any Bollywood celebrity, rather it was launched by the renowned wrestler, the Great Khali. Nice way, to make people take a Note indeed!
Coming to the specs, the Coolpad Note 5 is marked demise over its predecessor, especially in the internal department. Unlike its predecessor, the new mid-range phablet from the company comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 on the inside. Up front, the Coolpad Note 5 rocks a 5.5 inch Full HD display on top of the nice looking unibody metal design. The Snapdragon 617 powered phablet also comes clubbed with 4GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
Talking of cameras, the Coolpad Note 5 packs a 13MP rear shooter equipped with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper. Incidentally, Coolpad has included a front facing LED flash onto their phablet thereby helping users in capturing selfie in challenging lighting conditions. Powered the metal unibody phablet is a 4010mAH battery which apparently can last you through a day and a half. This is in fact at par with the competition from other brands, especially the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
Coolpad Note 5 also comes equipped with a Fingerprint Sensor to the rear which the company claims can unlock their device in as low as 0.5 secs. That said, one can also use the sensor as a functional button for making, receiving, recording calls, locking apps and even capturing photos using the default camera app. As expected the Coolpad Note 5 runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with the latest version of company’s own CoolUI on top. It will also come with the much touted VoLTE support that’s required while using Reliance Jio network.
Coolpad Note 5 comes in two colour options namely Champagne Gold and Noble Black and will go on sale exclusively via Amazon at Rs 10,999.
