itel it1520 Launched at Rs 8490, Features 13-Megapixel Selfie Camera and IRIS Scanner

Itel Mobile is a Hong Kong brand that has been involved in making feature phones from quite some time. It was earlier this year that itel decided to bring its range of phones to India and cater to the ever expanding smartphone market. The itel it1520 is a selfie-centric phone with 13-Megapixel primary and secondary camera. Priced at Rs 8490 the device also comes with a 100 days replacement warranty which has been one of its strong points.

The it1520 comes equipped with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek SoC clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable by 32GB. The camera setup in itel it1520 includes the 13-Megapixel sensor on both the sides with LED flash on the both the sides. IRIS scanner is yet another feature that is a rarity at this price point and the itel it1520 comes equipped with one.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 4G, GPS, VoLTE and Bluetooth. The it1520 comes in a sandstone finish and is backed by 2,500mAh battery pack. The device runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 and aims at the selfie-loving consumers looking out for a reasonably priced option. Itel has also partnered with Reliance Jio which means that you can access the Jio Welcome offer till December 2016.

Itel might be a relatively unknown brand in India but it has reportedly sold over 3.5 million devices since its launch in India earlier this year. Furthermore, itel is currently catering to 37 international markets and has nearly 1000 service centres globally. The it1520 will rival the likes a bunch of selfie-centric phones in this range including InFocus M680, Micromax Canvas Selfie and also the Gionee Elife E7 Mini.
