Google is all set to pull the wraps from its Pixel phone and thanks to the bout of leaks we already have an idea of what these devices would entail. However, Carphone Warehouse has made their stored listing for Google Pixel and Pixel XL live thus revealing the device in full glory. The listing not only shows off the phone in pictures but also details out the specifications.
Both the Pixel phones are expected to be powered by Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.15GHz and paired with 4GB RAM, on the memory front we can expect 32GB and 128GB variant. The Google Pixel devices will be equipped with FHD display along with a Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Also, the images further confirm that Google will now allow unlimited photo backup at maximum resolution for both the devices. It is yet to be ascertained if the unlimited photos will come with an expiration date or maybe a cap on the number of photos. The listing photos also take some time to advertise the recently launched Allo and Duo app alongside features like USB Type-C and Google Assistant.
As expected both the devices will be running the latest Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box and the Pixel will be backed by 2770mAh battery pack while the larger Pixel XL will herald with a 3450mAh battery. The devices will come equipped with fingerprint sensor and also nanoSIM slots as far as connectivity options are concerned. The rear sensor is 12-Megapixel primary sensor while the secondary camera comes fitted with an 8-Megapixel sensor, as opposed to the 5-Megapixel in last year’s Nexuses. On the design front the Pixel sports an entirely different styling approach. Google will also supplementing the phones with Live cases as accessories, these cases will come accompanied with a live wallpaper.
The most interesting bit of detail is obviously the mention of microSD card slot, yet the listing says that both the phones come with microSD card slot. This is very unlikely of Google since the Nexus phones always came with inbuilt memory with no option for a memory card, mostly the listing is wrong or Google is planning to surprise us in a rather big way. That said we are only a day away from the Google event and it will soon be confirmed if the specifications are accurate.
