HTC has updated its premium smartphone offering in India with the HTC Desire 10 Pro. The Desire 10 Pro is priced at Rs 26,490 and it comes with all the bells and whistles you would expect from a device at this price point. Also, specifications like the 20-Megapixel sensor are something we have rarely seen on a mid-range HTC device.
The HTC Desire 10 Pro sports a 5.5-inch FHD display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz and coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers 64GB of onboard storage along with a microSD card slot that is capable of accommodating up to 2TB. The camera setup is made up of the 20-Megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 27.8mm focal length, laser autofocus, Auto HDR mode and burst shots. The front/selfie camera is a 13-Megapixel unit with f/2.2 and BSI sensor. The camera app also comes loaded with selfie-centric features including Live make-up and touch to capture.
The HTC Desire 10 Pro runs on Android 6.0 with the HTC Sense and is backed by a 3000mAh battery pack that supports fast charging via the micro-USB and is rated to offer 19 hours of talk time. The device is well endowed on the connectivity front and offers 4G LTE with Cat 6 support, dual-SIM(selected markets), Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2 and micro-USB 2.0. Furthermore, the device also comes with a fingerprint sensor and additional features like Motion launch, quiet ring on pick-up, pocket mode and also flip to mute.
HTC Connect will let users stream music to compatible multi-room audio systems and home entertainment systems. As with most of the other HTC products, the Desire Pro 10 also gets the BoomSound feature and the metal body is water and splash proof. Along with the HTC Desire 10 Pro, the Taiwanese maker also announced HTC 10 EVO which for surprising reasons comes powered by a Snapdragon 810 SoC, yes the same one that made headlines for its nasty heating issues.
