Hyve Mobility, the latest Indian OEM to enter the smartphone scene has launched their flagship device in India. Dubbed the Hyve Pryme, its apparently the third device from the home grown manufacturer and will retail for Rs 17,999.
The Hyve Pryme comes in a metal unibody design that measures about 8.35mm in its thicket part. Well, that might sound quite thick at first, but it’s good to see Hyve opting to pack a large battery inside than making it slim. Besides, the rear camera also sits flush on the back. Upfront, the Hyve Pryme comes with a 5.7 inch Full HD IPS display that’s protected by a 2.5D curved glass.
Powering the Hyve Pryme is a 2.3GHz Deca core Mediatek Helio X20 SoC that coupled with a Mali T880 MP4 GPU. Just in case you are unaware, Helio X20 is the fastest chip in the Chinese firm’s stable. Apart from these, the Hyve Pryme packs 4GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. There’s also room for memory expansion via MicroSD option in the Hybrid SIM slot.
Talking of cameras, the Hyve Pryme features a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera with dual tone dual LED flash. This is coupled with 8MP front camera that apparently also features a flash for clicking selfies in dark environment. To the rear, just below the 13MP camera is a circular Fingerprint Sensor which you can use for locking your smartphone as well as a number of apps. Besides, it has a Touch2Call functionality that basically enables you to make a call simply by tapping on the fingerprint sensor. There’s an Infrared Sensor too, that enables the Hyve Pryme to function as a universal remote. Underneath the metal unibody casing lies a large 3500mAH battery. It’s worth noting that the battery comes with fast charging capabilities via the USB Type C port.
The Hyve Pryme is available in gold colour and will go on sale exclusively on Amazon very soon. Registrations for the sale will start November 20. As a part of their pledge towards improving the service issues, Hyve is providing 2 years of standard warranty with accidental damage protection and pick and drop facility across India at no extra cost.
