Lenovo announced the updated Phab series a couple of months ago and the highlight of the line-up was that it supported Google Tango, an Augmented Reality feature that lets users make use of one’s surrounding’s and add additional elements. During the launch event in June Lenovo has showcased how Augmented Reality allowed users to play a game of Dominos on their table and save their homes from invading alien attacks. Lenovo has now launched the Phab 2 Plus in India priced at Rs 14,999.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus sports a 6.4-inch FHD 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MTK8783 Octa-core processor and is coupled with a 3GB of RAM. On the storage front, the Phab 2 Plus offers 64GB of internal storage alongside a microSD card slot. The Phab 2 Plus also boasts of its slim profile at just 7.9mm and a Fingerprint sensor.
Camera hardware includes a 13-Megapixel dual camera setup with f2.0 aperture, Laser focus, and PDAF Light Supplement. Secondary camera shapes up in the form of an 8-Megapixel unit with f2.2 and also light supplement. The AR mode in the Phab 2 Plus allows users to capture photos and create the photos with the superimposed effects alongside the actual scene as the background. Mistake not, this VR thingy is not analogous to the one on the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro which supports Google Project Tango.
Moving on, the Lenovo Phab 2 Plus is backed by a 4,050 mAh battery. Being a Lenovo Product it is bound to have some dedicated audio features including Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio Capture 5.1 surround sound. Connectivity features include 4G LTE support, hybrid dual-SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus will retail in Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey color options. The device will be available starting today on Amazon.in
