Samsung Galaxy C series of smartphones may finally make its way to international markets, and well India might be the first to receive them. One of the upcoming C series smartphones namely Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro has apparently been spotted entering India as per a listing by import detail tracking site Zauba.
Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is allegedly the enhanced version of the Galaxy C5 smartphone that was launched in China earlier this year. This smartphone has apparently been rumored for long and is supposed to launch in China soon, however, in a surprise move, Samsung seems to have imported a few of the devices to India. The Zauba listing reveals that a number of smartphones with a code name SM-C5010 have entered the country from South Korea. That said, the listing clearly mentions that the two units of smartphone that has been imported are solely for R&D purpose. It’s worth noting that each of the units is marked with a value of Rs 20,483 ($300 approx.) The retail pricing, however, is expected to be higher than this, as it doesn’t include logistics, country-specific taxes and custom duties.
The Zauba listing of the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro comes soon after another device from the Korean electronics giant made its way onto the import listing site. The device in question is none other than Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro, which apparently is expected to be the costlier brother of the C5 Pro. It goes without saying that, that smartphone too was imported for R&D purpose. Some reports suggest that Samsung is planning to launch two of the smartphone side by side in India next month just before the holiday season.
Talking of specs, not much details are known about the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro. It’s however rumored to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 under the hood, thereby making it slightly more powerful than the 625 powered Galaxy C5. The Snapdragon 626 is expected to be based on a 14nm architecture and will be about 10 percent powerful than the last gen octa-core chip. Apart from that, Samsung may not play around with the design and go with similar externals as the few month old Galaxy C5. As for the pricing, the Korean electronics firm may opt for a price tag around $400 (Rs 27,534 approx.) mark.
