OnePlus 3T has now been made official in India at Rs 29,999, after having launched globally a few weeks back. Before entering India, the latest flagship smartphone from the high-flying Chinese OEM has made its way to US, UK and Europe wherein, the device has replaced its few month old brother the OnePlus 3. That said, OnePlus hasn’t (yet) decided to discontinue their OnePlus 3 in India, rather they simply added the 3T as an alternative for consumers with deeper pockets.
It’s still not clear as to why OnePlus decided to launch the OnePlus 3T just 6 months after the launch of its predecessor, especially when the OnePlus 3 was garnering praises all around for being one of the best smartphones of 2016. For the uninitiated, the OnePlus 3T comes with the upgraded Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.35GHz along with 6GB of RAM. Apart from that, the OnePlus 3T features a few other changes here and there but mostly things have remained unchanged.
From the exteriors, it’s hard to distinguish the OnePlus 3T from the 3, except for the new base metal back of the device. OnePlus has also kept the dimensions despite including a markedly larger battery inside. It now features a 3,400mAH battery inside up from the 3,000mAh cell in its predecessor. It goes without saying it comes with the company’s proprietary Dash Charge technology.
