D-Wave’s quantum computers take a quantum leap forward, now offer 2,000 qubits

D-Wave has launched a new quantum annealing machine, this time with 2,048 entangled qubits. That's twice what the company offered last year, though there are still questions about the type of problems the computer will solve and how its performance will compare with classical computers.
