Samsung has extended its budget J series in India with the launch of a new handset – Galaxy J2 Ace. The smartphone are is in the entry level smartphone price segment, supports 4G LTE Cat 4 as well as VoLTE HD network standards, and features the company’s signature ‘Make for India’ features such as Ultra Data Saving mode (UDS), S bike mode, and S Power Planning.
The Galaxy J2 Ace flaunts the conventional Samsung aesthetics with a home physical key, multitasking+back capacitive buttons on the front and sports a 5-inch qHD panel. It is powered by a Quad Core processor which is clocked at 1.4Ghz. The camera arrangement includes a rear 8MP f/2.2 lens with LED flash and a 5MP f/2.2 front camera which also has a soft flash. Furthermore, there’s 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory with MicroSD card support up to 128GB, a 2600mAh battery, and on the software side, Samsung has provided Android Marshmallow here with its custom skin layered over it. Unfortunately, there’s no fingerprint scanner which will make it a tough purchase, considering what Xiaomi offers at a similar price range.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace will be available in three colour options – gold, black, and silver at a price of Rs 8,490. It will be purchasable from various channels from January 16th.
