Lenovo’s upcoming smartphone from its sister brand Motorola is all set to be unveiled at an event tomorrow. Now, it seems that the company’s official store has spilled the beans all too early. The Motorola Moto M, which is supposed to launch alongside the Lenovo P2 tomorrow, is already available for sale via the company’s official store.
Moto M is Motorola’s new mid-range smartphone. Design wise, the Moto M looks like a nicely built product, with an all-metal unibody enclosure that curves gently towards the sides on the rear. It’s quite slim too at just 4.3mm in the thinnest area. That aside, just like many Motorola smartphones, this too comes with a double layer of nano-coating for protecting it from accidental water splash.
Up front, the Moto M comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a feature a Moto logo just below it. Powering the phone is a 2.2GHz octa-core processor which supposedly appears to be Mediatek’s Helio P15 (it’s odd to see a Motorola phone with Mediatek chip). This is mated with 4GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Talking of cameras, the Moto M comes with 16MP rear shooter that comes equipped with PDAF and Dual Tone LED flash. Besides, there’s an 8MP front camera module for clicking selfies and making video calls. Underneath the slim unibody shells also lies a 3050mAH battery which comes with fast charge support.
The official store listing comes soon after popular leakster @onleaks revealed a number of official press images of the alleged smartphone. The listing clearly reveals that the Moto M will go on sale in China for a price of 1999 Yuan (Rs 19,608/$294 approx.) With this, we have almost all vital specs and pricing related information regarding the upcoming Moto M. That said, Lenovo may end up having a surprise at the launch despite all these. So it’s better to wait till the launch, that’s scheduled on Nov 8.
